The project will use the Starting Cohorts 1 to 4 of the National Education Panel (NEPS) to investigate when and with respect to which educational indicators social inequalities become pronounced. In this context, cognitive or competence-oriented aspects will be investigated, as well as participation in institutions of the educational trajectory (e.g., kindergarten, high schools, private schools). The characteristics of social inequality that will be looked at are parents' income, education, occupation, and migration background. The project aims to analyze social inequalities in the formation of social inequalities into early adulthood.
