Central study management is indispensable for the implementation of the NEPS. This includes, for example, the planning and implementation of the commissioning of survey services to external institutes, the preparation of the surveys for the field and their monitoring, but also the conception and implementation of the surveys carried out at LIfBi, for which a separate infrastructure has been established. Furthermore, the central study management includes a well-founded data protection review and support, including the coordination of the approval procedures for surveys in the school context by the ministries of education, as well as professional study communication with regard to the participants.

Although the NEPS is the largest, it is only one of the LIfBi panel studies for which the colleagues of the LIfBi department Centre for Study Management take on tasks.
