The award decision was made unanimously by the Scientific Council of the Institute for the Study of Societies and Knowledge (ISSK) of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in consideration of Professor Blossfeld’s distinguished scientific achievements and his activity as leader of important European research projects.
