Sabine Weinert is the Chair of the Department Psychology I–Developmental Psychology at the University of Bamberg. She has been deeply involved in the work of the National Education Panel since its project application in 2008. She was also the Vice Project Lead of this study from 2008–2013. Sabine Weinert is going to lead the LIfBi until the Director’s post has been filled permanently. Her research focuses especially on cognitive and language development, their promotion and disorders, as well as their influence on the social development of children. Sabine Weinert has been involved in many important projects regarding the research of infants. We are delighted that Sabine Weinert has now taken over an executive position at our Institute.
Sandra Buchholz leaves the LIfBi after one year as Interim Director as she accepted the call as Professor for Quantitative Life Course Sociology at the University of Hannover. This includes the management of the Department “Educational Careers and Graduate Employment” at the German Center for Higher Education Research and Science Studies (DZHW). In her new position at the DZHW, Sandra Buchholz will, of course, retain her strong connection with the National Education Panel Study.
