NEPS researchers counsel authors of study on gender equality in rural areas

On July 4, 2011, Dr Jutta von Maurice, Sebastian E. Wenz, and Wolfgang Hoderlein attended the last meeting of the board of consultants of the study “Zukunftssicherung des Ländlichen Raumes durch mehr Chancengerechtigkeit für Frauen und Männer” (“Making rural areas future-proof by increasing equality of opportunity among men and women”) in Forchheim, Upper Franconia.

Already in 2009 and 2010 Jutta  von Maurice and Sebastian E. Wenz provided expertise on questions about education and its impact on gender equality. The study is funded by the Free State of Bavaria and the European Social Fund (ESF) of the European Union. Grontmij auweck GmbH has been in charge of realizing the project.
