High-achieving student teachers in particular seem to opt for different career paths after graduation, according to the results of studies by the Verband Bildung und Erziehung and the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories. Expectations of the traineeship and the profession itself presumably have an influence on drop-out rates.
