On 14 November 2023, the Bildungsklick.de portal reported the results of a study by the Institute for Employment Research (IAB), which was based on the NEPS data "Education in adulthood and lifelong learning". The key message: company-financed further training opportunities are primarily used if one's own occupation has only a low potential to be automated. Conversely, if the occupation has a high probability of being automated, the use of further training courses decreases.
