MDR aktuell reported on April 5, 2024 that almost three million people between the ages of 20 and 34 did not have a vocational qualification in 2022 - partly because more and more people are entering the workforce directly. In times of skilled labor shortages, this is a problem because there is a lack of well-trained workers. But this also has negative long-term consequences for the unskilled workers themselves.
