Much to the joy of the NEPS Consortium, the DGfE also gave away a number of prizes at an awards ceremony:
In Berlin, Prof. Dr. Eckhard Klieme, Director of the “Center for Research on Educational Quality and Evaluation“ at the German Institute for International Educational Research (DIPF, member of the NEPS Consortium and founding member of LIfBi) won the DGfE Research Award. It was the first time that this prize had been awarded.
In addition to this, the young scientists award of the DGfE, which has acknowledged outstanding achievements of junior researchers for almost three decades now, is also connected to NEPS: Prof. Dr. Katrin Kaufmann and Sarah Widany (FU Berlin) received a prize for their article titled “Berufliche Weiterbildung—Gelegenheits- und Teilnahmestrukturen” [Professional Further Education—Opportunity and Participation Structures] which has appeared in the journal Zeitschrift für Erziehungswissenschaft 16(1), pp. 25-54. In this outstanding article, the authors carried out an analysis using NEPS data. Our sincere congratulations to all award winners!
