The relaunch of the journal places special emphasis on specific focus areas in connection with this new group of editors, according to Executive Editor Prof. Dr. Tobias Wolbring, who states in the editorial of the first new issue that: “The selected representatives of research institutes in the social sciences are not only dedicated to the key fields of social inequalities and their changes, but they are also deeply involved in the generation of  primary data and in the transfer of social science knowledge to economics, politics, and society.”
