On February 21, 2017, nearly all the SPD members of Bamberg county district council came to visit the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (LIfBi). Professor Hans-Günther Roßbach, Director of LIfBi, first illustrated the recent history of the Institute. In a second step, he explained the analysis potential of the Nationalen Bildungspanels (NEPS), LIfBi’s core study. Dr. Michaela Sixt, Coordinator of project Educational Landscape of Upper Franconia (BildungsLandschaft Oberfranken, BiLO), informed the district councilors about intentions, implementation, and expected results of BiLO for the Upper Franconian district of Bamberg.
At the end of the briefing, Professor Roßbach gave some information on a number of other projects situated at LIfBi. The presentations on the study on inclusive schooling „INSIDE - Inclusive Education in Lower Secundary Schools in Germany“, and the study on the integration of refugees „ReGES – Refugees in the German Educational System“, zgenerated particular interest among the participants who asked many different questions.
