On July 4, 2015, Dr. Miriam Roth Douglas, Ph.D., Director of the Community Education Program at the College of Education at West Liberty University in West Virginia, and a group of students visited the LIfBi to gather information about the National Educational Panel Study. The visit at the LIfBi class was part of a 2-week program called "Summer study-abroad" organized by Dr.Miriam Roth Douglas.

Dr. Jutta von Maurice and Stefanie Buchner gave a presentation on the network structure and the theoretical framework of the NEPS as well as the design of the starting cohorts of the study. After the presentation, Dr. von Maurice answered questions from the students concerning the National Educational Panel Study and the German education system.
