At this conference, all 17 research projects of the first funding phase presented their research results of the past three years during a 20 to 30-min presentation. Nine internationally renowned experts in the field of educational research and social statistics discussed these results as well as open questions afterwards.
The second funding phase of the DFG Priority Programme 1646 will start in 2015. Nine projects of the first funding phase will continue their work during the second funding phase alongside seven new research projects. During the second funding phase, the research projects place a stronger focus on comparative analysis as several projects will work on linking the NEPS data to register data provided by the Institute for Employment Research of the Federal Employment Agency (Institut für Arbeitsmarkt- und Berufsforschung (IAB) der Bundesagentur für Arbeit).
All seven new projects were in attendance among the 60 conference participants and contributed to the lively and fruitful debates about the presented research results of the first funding phase.
