The Student Teacher Panel (LAP) has been in existence for nine years, in which a cohort of first-year students from the 2010/2011 winter semester was followed from the beginning of their teacher training program through the preparatory service and into the profession. The supplementary study to cohort 5 "Students" of the National Education Panel Study (NEPS) includes about 5,500 student teachers and examines in particular the development of professional competencies of (prospective) teachers. It is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and conducted by the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (LIfBi) together with the German Center for Higher Education and Science Research (DZHW).
At the end of the project, it is now time to take stock and to present and discuss exemplary insights into the findings to date and the diverse uses of the available data:
All scholars conducting research on current issues in teacher education and specifically with the LAP data are invited to attend. Representatives of educational administration as well as stakeholders from initial and continuing teacher education are also welcome to attend the final conference to learn about and share the results of teacher research.
Participation is free of charge and open to all interested parties. Registration is open until 05/18/2023 on the conference website.
