On Wednesday, the guests from Poland were informed in particular about the data of start cohort 2 and possibilities of data use. On Thursday, there was a presentation from stage 2/3, which focused in particular on the drawing procedures in start cohort 2 and the questionnaire instruments used there. In addition, Pillar 1 gave an insight into the test instruments used in the areas of mathematics, science, language competence and metacognition. The guests were impressed by the quality of the questionnaires and test instruments developed in NEPS and in turn presented innovative approaches to testing school children and current research ideas. Finally, on Friday, the guests had the opportunity for individual exchange with NEPS staff members from selected work areas. In particular, the topics of occupational coding, surveys of newborns, recording variables on interest and leisure behavior, and questions of weighting were in demand here.
