Three LIfBi researchers have received honors and awards.
In October, Prof. Dr. Gundula Zoch received the “Prize for Excellent Research” from the Oldenburg University Society, endowed with 5,000 euros. The sociologist, who works at the University of Oldenburg and LIfBi, was recognized for her research on social inequalities in career, work and family as well as educational inequalities in the life course.
Also in October, Prof. Dr. Kamila Cygan-Rehm received this year's Habilitation Prize from the University Association of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). In her habilitation thesis, the researcher, who works at TU Dresden and LIfBi, deals with political interventions and their short and long-term, intended and unintended effects on the individuals and companies affected.
Dr. Tanja Gerlach, head of the work unit “Personality” at LIfBi, has been appointed Honorary Lecturer by Queen's University Belfast. Gerlach will hold the title for a three-year period until September 2027.
