However, after a total term of office of 8 years, LIfBi had to say goodbye to three long-standing members of the Advisory Board: The LIfBi Director expressly thanked the Board’s Chairman, Professor Karl Ulrich Mayer, and his Deputy, Professor Kerstin Schneider (picture top right), as well as Professor Elsbeth Stern for their constructive advice and strong ties to LIfBi. Professor Mayer had been a particularly great supporter of the NEPS from the very beginning and had contributed significantly to the successful establishment of the Institute.
The office of the new Chair will now be taken over by Professor Martin Brunner and his Deputy Professor Hannah Brückner. Cordula Artelt congratulated both of them warmly on their election and looked forward to the upcoming cooperation with the newly composed Board. From next year on, in addition to the incumbent new Advisory Board members Professor Markus Bühner and Professor Michael Bosnjak, the designated new Advisory Board members Professor Claudia Buchmann, Professor Annette Jäckle, and Professor Katharina Scheiter will critically accompany and advise LIfBi on its future path in research and development.
