There are 12 projects involved in this research priority nationwide. Representatives of all of these state-funded projects introduced themselves at the two-day meeting and presented their current project status. The professional exchange of knowledge and the discussions among researchers concerning the different projects thus took special precedence at this event. On November 19, an international symposium was held where leading scientists were invited to give lectures about dyslexia and dyscalculia. Just like the National Educational Panel Study, the research priority “Developmental Disorders of School-Related Skills” is also funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and embedded in the
BMBF Framework Programme for the Promotion of Empirical Educational Research.
