The working unit “Personality” includes projects investigating motivational and personality-related aspects on the one hand (NEPS Personality) and, on the other hand, brings together the work of the LIfBi for its contribution to national educational reporting (National Report on Education).
At the center of the personality-related work of the working unit lies the development and implementation of (socio)psychological survey constructs which are not only associated with the tradition of the so-called Wisconsin School but which, at the same time, also function as a connection between pedagogical, psychological, and sociological questions in the field of education research.
In the context of our contribution to national educational reporting, aspects of the characteristics of individual life courses that are monitored by the working unit are taken up and integrated into the general framework of the longitudinal analysis of educational trajectories.
