NEPS | National Educational Panel Study

The NEPS is the largest long-term education study in Germany. We accompany more than 100,000 people on their educational paths and in the development of their competencies. We make this treasure trove of data available to educational research worldwide free of charge.

BildungswegeFlucht | Educational Trajectories of Refugee Children and Adolescents

The aim of the study "Bildungswege von geflüchteten Kindern und Jugendlichen" (Educational Pathways of Refugee Children and Adolescents) is to describe the educational trajectories of newly immigrated refugee children and adolescents with a longer-term perspective and to examine which factors promote or inhibit the integration of refugees into the German education system and the transition to the labor market. 

BiLO | BildungsLandschaft Oberfranken

Using Upper Franconia as an example, the BiLO project addressed the question of the interplay between education and space. The leading research question of the project was the connection between individual educational decisions and perceived educational opportunities, taking into account the social space.

INSIDE | Inclusion in and after lower secondary tier in Germany

In two project phases, INSIDE provides comprehensive and robust information for the first time on the current implementation of school inclusion in lower secondary education and on the transition of students with special educational needs to upper secondary education, the vocational training system, or another life situation.

ReGES | Refugees in the German Educational System

The strong immigration of refugees in the mid-2010s posed major integration policy challenges for the Federal Republic of Germany. The aim of the ReGES project was to collect data that could be used to describe and analyze the newly immigrated groups and their educational trajectories. In addition, the ReGES project also conducted its own research on various topics.

Data Literacy | Long-Term Monitoring of Digital and Data-Related Competencies of the German Population

The project takes a representative, long-term look at the digital and data-related skills of the German population and helps to understand how these skills develop. It covers the central, fundamental knowledge and skills that people need in order to be able to deal competently with digital information and data in their everyday lives.
